Welcome to the new Faith+Life Family. This has been an amazing new beginning in the midst of some very difficult years, We say it all the time, "God is good," But I don't think we always feel it deep down in our hearts, But He, and He is good all the time. Even when we don't feel it.
Dealing with a medically complex child is a life changing change of events. There is no way to be a medically complex family without all of your family dynamics changing, It happened in out family, and it has taken me 7 years to find my purpose again, other than caring for my daughter, Don't get me wrong, that is still my priority, and always will be, Still, I felt like I was supposed to have another purpose, but I was to exhausted and overwhelmed to have any idea what it was,
Over the past 4 years, very slowly, I began to see God's hand moving. It started with some water color paintings I did randomly one day, and turned into a small Etsy Shop, that I appropriately named Hope For Katie. Due to the complex issues with frequent hospital stays, selling physical products became difficult, because I would often be with her in the hospital, and couldn't ship products when they were ordered in a timely way. This year, I learned about creating and selling digital products on Etsy, which opened up a whole new arena for me. Throughout 2024, my desire to build a business that could help my family and provide resources to others continued to grow along with my desire to learn more.
I invested in several training opportunities as I found them. In October, I found the one that has changed my life. Digital Creators in Christ. A training, and a support network of Christian women entrepreneurs who welcomed me into their group with love and support. I could not have started this business without them, The training is phenomenal, and the very first part of the training is about aligning your business with God. I highly recommend it for anyone interested in starting their own business.
During my journey over the past 7 years, planners have become an extremely important part of my life. You can believe me when I say, I have tried almost every one on the market. I have always been on a search for the perfect one. Balancing family, a home, hospital stays, dozens of medical appointments, therapy schedules, home health schedules, and all the other things life throws in took just the right planner, and it hasn't been easy to find. Over the past year, I started creating my own, and God knew.
He knew that I could take something that I needed, and turn it into something that would help and bless others. Here we are launching our first planners. I can't wait to see where this journey takes us, and I am so glad your are here to be a part of the journey.
